Happy New Year! May it be filled with pleasant surprises, a little bit of magic, and a lot of joy! Thank you for your support, business, and interest. I am hoping that you will find this information both useful and insightful. Many of you have used my services as a Feng Shui consultant and know that sometimes even a simple change we make in our home or office can create a big difference in our lives. With Feng Shui, not only do we create beautiful, supportive and balanced environments but we can also create peace of mind, harmony, or passion in our relationships. Boost your business in the new year with tips from my article which was featured in Women’s Business ( Boston Herald magazine) in December 2005. No matter how small or large a house is, in most cases there is no architecturally or structurally designed room that is dedicated for the purpose of a home office. The first floor is usually designed for a living room, family room, den, kitchen and a dining room while the second floor is reserved for several bedrooms and bathrooms. Because of this lack of a predetermined space, home offices are located anywhere from the corner of a dining room to inside a closet. From a Feng Shui perspective, a home office is an important part of the house. It is a place where people try to be creative, energetic and make money. The composition of this space can greatly affect your personal performance, as it is where you tend to spend a large portion of the day. read more... 2006 Year of the Yang Red Fire Dog If you're hoping to get a job or a career that will last, move into a house that will be your permanent home or enter a long term relationship, this year is ideal. In your home it is a good idea to fix whatever needs repairs. Take care of your car, appliances and any other things you want to rely on for the next few years. This is also a good time to take some classes or seminars to advance your career and personal development. If you run a business, take some time to implement new ideas that improve your website and business cards. Make sure they represent your business goals. This is a good year for improving your fame and reputation. Think more about the impression that you make on others, especially your clients. You may want to give a boost to your appearance, clothing, hairstyle and color schemes. A little bit more red, orange, yellow or any warm color in this range would be good to add to your wardrobe or home during this year. In conclusion, 2006 can be a year of important foundational work leading to great success in the future. On the other hand, if you are not ready to focus on your long term goals, 2006 can be a year of spectacular failures. Some General Predictions
People born in the year of the Rabbit (1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999) and other Dogs (1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006) will have a good chance to have a supportive year, but to a somewhat lesser degree. People born in the year of the Rooster (1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005) might not have a very harmonious year but it will not necessarily be inauspicious. People born in the year of the Dragon (1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000) should be extra cautious and not take any risks. Have you ever wondered why predictions such as these do not quite work very well? This is because a birth year is only part of a complex picture and reflects it only to a small degree. To access the whole picture, Elements are assigned to the month, day and time of birth creating a personal energy distribution chart. Based on how much of each Element is present in a person’s chart we define which elements are helpful and need to be enhanced and which ones are harmful. If a year has that most helpful element it is interpreted that a person will receive an auspicious influence or good support from the universe. For example, the above prediction based on the birth year of 1964 is quite inauspicious. However, if a person’s helpful Elements are Fire and Earth, which are represented in 2006, this year should turn out quite good. This technique is called Four Pillars of Destiny and is very effective when combined with Feng Shui. In fact, every respected Master in China and Hong Kong would not do a Feng Shui consultation without it. This is the way to get the most personalized Feng Shui advice. It is reflected not only in Feng Shui placement and design but in suggestions given on activities, diet, colors, clothing, accessories, etc., with the goal of enhancing personal energy.
